Operations: Supplier Credit Requests (Returns)

Crediting a Purchase Order

A purchase order that has been marked as complete (received) can be credited. To do this, press the New Credit Note button on the bottom right of the purchase order form.

Then press Ok in the popup, and the system will create a new draft credit note for the purchase order. This new credit note will have a link back to the original purchase order.

Review the credit note, adjusting the count of items and deleting items from the credit note as required. Once the credit note is complete, press the Credit Items button on the bottom rights hand corner of the credit note.

This credit note will now be listed in the list of credit notes in the original purchase order.

You can now follow the same process as creating a purchase order, but it will say Credit Items instead of Place Order and Credit instead of Receive . Don’t use negative numbers for quantities and unit cost, the system will do that for you.

Credit Requests Not Linked To A Purchase Order

Pressing the New Credit Note button from the purchase orders menu initiates a process similar to placing a purchase order, except it is a credit note that is created.

Note: that only suppliers with Credit Note Allowed ticked will be listed in the list of suppliers for whom a credit note can be raised.
