Barcode Scanner - Motorolla DS9208



To configure the Motorolla DS9208 USB Barcode Reader, scan the following barcodes in order:

To configure a DS9208 scanner without using the barcodes:

Download 123Scan2 from Motorolla:

Connect the scanner via USB.
Run 123Scan2 (Motorolla Utility).
Wait ~20 seconds for the scanner to be reinitialised.
Select 'Clone/Modify my connected scanner settings'.
Accept the warning about a potential USB parameter change (we will fix it later).
Click 'Start Configuration Wizard'.
Click 'Cable Connection'.
Change USB Device Type to 'Default (HID Keyboard Emulation)'.
Click 'Modify data'.
Select 'Program complex data modifications or select a rule from your Data Formatting Library'.
Click 'prefix/suffix rules'.
Select '<PREFIX> <DATA> <SUFFIX 1>'
Beside PREFIX, click 'code list', click 'ASCII Characters', and select CTRL-B (1002).
Beside SUFFIX 1, click 'code list', click 'ASCII Characters', and select CTRL-C (1003).
Click 'Load and Print'.
Click 'Load configuration to scanner', and select the scanner from the list.
When the settings have been sent to the scanner, click 'Close', and exit from 123Scan2 (no need to save the changes if it asks).
The scanner will reinitialise itself after a few seconds, and use the new settings.
